Our services are a mix of both resident and non-resident staffed services. Non-resident staffed services are supported by an advanced registered nurse practitioner or registered nurse.

Patient Care

For more than a decade, University of Iowa Health Care has used hospitalist care to coordinate the inpatient care of its adult patients.

The case management our team puts into place for patients has resulted in shorter hospital stays, controlled treatment costs, and overall efficiency of care.

Internal Medicine establishes Division of Hospital Medicine

The Department of Internal Medicine is pleased to announce the establishment of the Division of Hospital Medicine as the Department of Internal Medicine’s newest distinct division. The Division of Hospital Medicine’s effective date is tentatively set for this summer.
