Thank you for your interest in the University of Iowa Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes fellowship program. This is a two- to three-year ACGME-accredited program that provides fellows with an outstanding clinical and research education. The program seeks to prepare fellows for careers in clinical and academic medicine, as capable, independent endocrinologists.
Some of the highlights of our program include:
- Fellows as Clinician Educators (FACE) Program for fellows interested in becoming clinical educators
- Opportunity to pursue a Certificate or Master’s degree in Medical Education for fellows interested in becoming clinical educators
- Opportunity to obtain a Certificate or Master degree in Clinical Investigation for fellows pursuing a research fellowship
- Research opportunities in diabetes and obesity through the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center, co-directed by Andy Norris, MD, PhD and Kamah Rahmouni, PhD.
- Leading clinical & research center in neuroendocrine tumors with opportunities for research & advanced training
- Formal institutional Quality Improvement Curriculum, leading to a Certificate in Quality Improvement
