Dorfman Award for lymphoma research in the amount of $25,000 for his authorship of Long-Term Health-Related Quality of Life of Autologous Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation Patients and Nontransplant Patients With Aggressive Lymphoma: A Prospective Cohort Analysis.

Eli Perencevich, MD, MS, has been named the editor in chief of JAMA Network Open. Perencevich is the associate chair for clinical and health services research and professor of internal medicine, and the director of the Center for Access & Delivery Research and Evaluation (CADRE) at the Iowa City VA Medical Center.

There’s a Person Under There: A qualitative study of patients’ perspectives on the breast cancer diagnostic process

Loreen Herwaldt, MD, will lead a team of researchers in a collaborative study funded through a Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center (HCCC) pilot grant. The team will audit the patient experience during the breast cancer diagnostic period, from the initial screening mammogram through initial treatment following a positive diagnosis, whether treatment is surgery or chemotherapy.
