Welcome

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa offers a fellowship training program in general cardiology emphasizing preparation for those interested in pursuing a career in academic cardiology. Fellows pursue comprehensive clinical training with extensive opportunities for scholarship, including basic, translational, clinical, and population cardiovascular research, and graduate degrees in administration, public health, and education. Further subspecialty training is available in Interventional Cardiology, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, and Advanced Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging. The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine has long been a cornerstone in the strong tradition of excellence in clinical care, education, and research at the University of Iowa.
